Dave Evans is a famous Australian singer who is well known for being the lead singer of the band AC/DC from the year 1973-74. Dave Evans was born in Wales but relocated to Australia with his family in 1956. His genre is rock and hard rock.
Dave Evans is one of the founding fathers of the band AC/DC along with Malcolm Young, Angus, Larry Van Kriedt and Colin Burgess. He worked with the band for one year before Bon Scott replaced him in 1974. In the one year that he was with AC/DC he recorded the hit single \"Can I Sit next To You, Girl\". Personality clashes with the other members of the band led to Evans quitting the band in 1974. This album earned rave reviews and was a huge hit with the listeners. The track “Sold My Soul to Rock n Roll” was nominated for the LA Music awards in 2007.
After this Dave Evans joined another band called Rabbit. He released a total of six singles as well as two albums in the years from 1975 to 1977. The band was well known for their hedonistic stage acts. Evans had also released two solo albums including “A Hell of a Night” and “Sinner”. “A Hell of a Night” was a live recording and was released in the year 2000. This was in memory of Bon Scott. Sinner was released in 2006 and he recorded the album with Hot Cockerel, Rabbit and some of the best rockers in New Castle. He released the album Thunder Down Under with the band Thunder Down Under in 1986.
Dave Evans also worked with Thunderstruck and toured Europe with them. In 2007 he made an appearance at the Bon Scott Concert. In 2008 he released another solo album called “Judgment Day”.
